Open Days and Private Visits

Special Easter Open days

Saturday 11 April and Sunday 12 April from
10am till 4pm

No admission fee but you will be able to donate to a fund
for fighting the wind farm.

There will also be a windfarm exhibition with scale model,
sound recording, maps and a route map for you to tour
the wind farm with posters placed to show what it would look like.

The garden is open by appointment for groups.

The garden will be signposted on the Open Days from Hillam
and from the A63 in Monk Fryston.

The map shows our location relative to the A1 and the M62.heThe best
approach is to take the A63 in the direction of Selby from either the M1 or the new A1(M). Take care not to miss the turnings. Once on the A63 head in the direction of Selby and look out for the Open Garden signs as you pass through Monk Fryston village. Take the right turn just after the now closed filling station on the edge of the village. Then left along Hillam Common Lane for about a mile and a half. Don't give up too soon, we are well out of the village on the left and the garden is clearly visible from the road. Parking for about 100 cars in the field behind the house. There is easy wheel chair access direct into the garden and no need to park on the road.s.

New for 2009 This year we have added a willow dome which has got off to a good start. It was planted in February this year and is growing well. Changes were made to the italian garden last year. The woodland area has developed very well over recent years and now provides a very pleasant and relaxed area of the garden. In the woodland you will find a lot of underplanting which makes this area of the garden one of our favourites. There are also new raised beds for vegetables and work going on with a new stone wall on the edge of the woodland area.
